Hikers / Snowshoers: Please do not walk on the X-C ski trails
(please walk single file where necessary)

X-C Skiers: You may use the snowshoe trail, but please give the
right of way to Hikers and Snowshoers (except on downhill runs)

TRACKED indicates that a trail has been broken (skiied) by volunteers; All trails at the center are normally open for use.

Trail Volunteers
Maintaining the Trails
  • We are trying to maintain parallel X-C and Snowshoe trails throughtout the trail system, wherever it's possible
    __________________X-C Ski
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (Snowshoe)
  • Where possible/obvious, please place the X-C trail on the "inside" side of a loop (e.g., to the right heading North on Old Road; left heading North on Abbt Farm Trail)
  • Place Snowshoe trails on the "outside" of a loop
  • Use your best judgment for trails that are not loop trails.
  • (... and Thanks!!)
Updating the Table
  • Please enter "TRACKED" if you break trail on one of the above trails
  • Please enter "Partly tracked" if you broke trail for a section of the indicated trail
  • Edit to "old tracks" if trail is passible but not fresh
  • Please clear all entries after a major snowfall

I X-C Skiied on the Abbt Farm Trail and the part straight north of the Long Trail, came back south and cut back across the shortcut back to Long Trail, retracing my tracks. Deep snow and crusty beneath. Beautiful, pristine scenery with the trees and their snow hanging off them.
Do you find this valuable?
